Alexa Grcich, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT101605
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 101605) in San Diego. I believe that we all have the capacity for personal change and growth. By guiding you in a non-judgmental, nurturing space of support and practical feedback, I will strive to help you gain insight and awareness. In gaining this new understanding of yourself, we can better promote healthy, positive, and growth-oriented change in your life.
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most significant and powerful steps on your journey towards healing. In order to provide this healing relationship I utilize an empathic, humanistic, strength-based approach to therapy and incorporate family systems, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness-based techniques in our work together.
I have experience working with a diverse and wide range of populations including: children, adolescents, couples, adults, and families. I have experience and am skilled in working with individuals struggling with various issues, including: depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral issues, life stressors, grief and trauma. I have experience and practical knowledge with a wide variety of agencies and settings, including residential treatment settings with adolescents, as well as young adults, couples, and college students. Additionally, I have experience with bereavement, grief and loss, including hospice care. Other areas of special interest include working with couples and families on relational and parenting issues.
