Hello, my name is Ashley Archie. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, supervised by Carlos Moreno LCSW115286.

With a dedicated focus on the mental health and overall well-being of military families, children, and youth, I bring practical experience in providing support and guidance. I possess a comprehensive understanding of the distinctive stressors and emotional demands inherent in military life, including the complexities of frequent relocations and the emotional impact of deployments on all family members. My approach involves acknowledging and addressing the specific challenges these families encounter, fostering a sense of stability and security amidst ongoing change.

Presently practicing under supervision, my clinical work is driven by a deep commitment to empowering individuals to cultivate resilience in the face of adversity, rekindle hope during difficult times, and facilitate meaningful and sustainable positive change in their lives. I strive to create a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, validated, and equipped with the necessary tools to navigate their unique circumstances and achieve their personal goals. My therapeutic orientation is grounded in evidence-based practices, tailored to meet the individual needs of each client and family I serve.

Clinical Experience

My clinical experience encompasses providing therapeutic services to military youth and adolescents grappling with substance use disorders. This work involved implementing evidence-based practices to address addiction, co-occurring mental health conditions, and the unique stressors faced by this population. Furthermore, I have extensive experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness, offering support and resources to navigate the complexities of their circumstances.

A significant portion of my clinical work has also focused on addressing mood disorders, including depression and anxiety, as well as providing crisis intervention and safety planning for individuals experiencing suicidal ideation. This diverse experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of mental health challenges across various populations and the skills necessary to provide effective and compassionate care.
