Hi, I'm Brittany, I'm an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist serving California, and the San Diego area(#145851) under the direct supervision of Theresa Martinez, LMFT (LMFT131771).
Choosing to start therapy can feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate for many. This is why I strive to ensure that this transition is as smooth as possible and that you feel safe, comfortable, and confident working with me.
Clinical Experience
My clinical experience consists of direct work with individuals, couples, children and adolescents. I have been fortunate enough to work with a wide variety of clients from various cultural and socioeconomic statuses. I am a great fit for those who are motivated , grow, and heal. I am experienced in working closely with trauma, anxiety, relational issues, LGBTQ+, depression, self-esteem, ADHD, and attachment issues. I offer a supportive, compassionate and collaborative, therapeutic experience and I utilize evidence based techniques to help facilitate healing and growth.
These approaches include; unconditional positive regard to facilitate a person-centered approach that focuses on utilizing elements of AEDP, ACT, DBT, IFS, emotionally focused, CBT, somatic therapy, solution-focused, Attachment-focused, and psychoeducation to help clients reach their goals, understand and change their view of themselves and reduce distressing symptoms.
Additionally I have completed level one Gottman training for couples therapy, AEDP , introduction to IFS, and ADHD certificate trainings.
