Elena Bicherova, Ph.D.
Registered Psychological Associate

Supervised by Tanya Hilber, PsyD, PMH-C PSY24479

I am a Registered Psychological Associate (PSB 94027304) and am currently supervised by Dr. Tanya Hilber, Licensed Psychologist (PSY24479). I am a Psychological Associate focused on helping people with emotional and mental health issues and improving their sense of well‐being. I have a broad foundation both in academic psychology and in the practice of counseling psychology. I have over 10 years of work experience as a mental health psychologist and as an associate professor of psychology at a university.

Being a compassionate and emotionally stable professional, I use psychological methods to lend a hand to those who are dealing with mental and behavioral hardships. I mentor children and their families from different backgrounds using a strengths-based approach; as well as adhere to the principles of personality development to help people find themselves.

Ultimately, saving someone is not an action that can be taken lightly or forgotten, but the ability to become a shoulder to lean on is one of, if not the most, valuable skill I have as a PhD psychology associate.

Clinical Experience

I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults with Anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD/ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), PTSD, and OCD. I have extensive experience working with new mothers, postpartum depression and anxiety, perinatal/postpartum OCD, and women’s health.

I provide Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to influence behavior modification, address mood and trauma issues. I assist clients in cognitive, social, and emotional personal development and my techniques are based on every person’s unique life experiences.
