Jamie Sarbacker, AMFT
Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Supervised by Shannel Ezedi, LPCC
My name is Jamie Sarbacker, and I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT ), supervised by Shannel Ezedi, LPCC (LPCC19030), who believes that healing and growth happen within safe, compassionate, and collaborative relationships. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely seen, respected, and supported—without judgment or pressure—so they can explore life’s challenges with curiosity and honesty. My approach is grounded in empathy and authenticity; with a strong belief that meaningful change unfolds at each client’s own pace.
I work from a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective and view therapy as a collaborative process tailored to everyone’s values, goals, and lived experience. Together, we focus on building insight, resilience, and practical tools that support both emotional well-being and long-term change.
Clinical Experience
My clinical experience includes working with adults navigating substance use disorders, relapse prevention, anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional regulation difficulties. I have extensive experience supporting clients in intensive outpatient and group therapy settings, where I facilitate psychoeducation and process-oriented groups and provide individual therapy focused on recovery, accountability, and values-based change.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and person-centered, strengths-based frameworks. I also incorporate trauma-informed and somatic-aware practices to help clients better understand their nervous system responses and develop healthier coping strategies. I value collaboration, curiosity, and flexibility in treatment, and I aim to meet each client exactly where they are.
I am especially passionate about working with individuals navigating recovery, identity shifts, and major life transitions, and I believe therapy can be a powerful space for reconnection—to self, to others, and to what matters most.
