Jennifer Hodel, APCC, PPS-SC
Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
Pupil Personnel Services Credential
Supervised by Gina Cabral, LMFT
Hi! My name is Jennifer Hodel and I am a registered Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #), supervised by Gina Cabral, LMFT (LMFT104556). I graduated from Wheaton College in Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and with a double minor in Education as well as Women and Gender Studies. I then attended the University of San Diego where I received my Master’s degree in School-Based Clinical Counseling, earning a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling (PPS-SC).
Clinical Experience
I have extensive counseling experience with children and teens spanning across TK-12th grade in the school setting. As a school counseling and Educationally-Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS) intern, I have supported youth with Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, and Depression using evidence-based practices.
I work closely with families and school staff to best support children and teens. I utilize a holistic, strengths-based approach that values each client’s unique identities and lived experiences. I aim to foster a non-judgmental and empathetic environment where clients feel understood and are empowered to work toward their goals. The therapeutic modalities that I utilize include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Play Therapy.
Outside of therapy, you can find me spending quality time with loved ones (including my cat), playing pickleball and tennis, finding new music to listen to, and exploring new places. I look forward to the opportunity to help support and empower you to reach your goals!
