Kaci Grabowski, ACSW
Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker

Supervised by LEslie Peterson, LCSW

Kaci Grabowski, Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW120686) supervised by Leslie Peterson, LCSW (LCSW26416), works with children, teens, and families navigating anxiety, depression, school avoidance, and challenges related to school functioning. She supports young people and their families in navigating IEPs, school-based supports, and other systems that can impact a child’s emotional well-being and ability to thrive.

Kaci’s approach to therapy is integrative and grounded in a trauma-informed, relational framework. She draws from humanistic, attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral, and developmental systems theories to understand each client within the context of their relationships, family, culture, community, and school environment. She believes that people have an inherent capacity for growth and healing and that a safe, supportive, and attuned therapeutic relationship can be an important foundation for meaningful change.

Clinical Experience

Kaci incorporates trauma-informed principles of safety, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural responsiveness throughout treatment. She recognizes that both nature and nurture shape how individuals experience and respond to the world, and she considers the influence of early attachment relationships, family systems, culture, community, school environments, and experiences of stress or trauma.

Her work incorporates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with insight-oriented and skills-based interventions. Kaci helps clients develop greater self-awareness, understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and build practical coping and problem-solving skills. With children and teens, she works collaboratively to identify strengths, increase emotional regulation, strengthen resilience, and support meaningful progress at home, at school, and in their relationships.

Kaci strives to create a warm, empathic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. She views her role as a guide and collaborator—helping clients and families make sense of their experiences, build on their strengths, and develop tools that support sustainable change.
