Megan Balzarini, ACSW
Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker

Supervised by Talia Morrison, LMFT

I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW# 93828), supervised by Talia Morrison, LMFT (LMFT82998), who graduated from San Diego State University in 2019. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I believe that healing happens through genuine connection and partnership, and I work alongside my clients to help them better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and build on their existing strengths. I strive to meet each person where they are, honoring their unique experiences, values, and goals.

Clinical Experience

I have clinical experience working with children, individuals impacted by substance use, and individuals living with severe mental illness, including Anxiety, Depression, grief/bereavement, PMADs, women’s issues, trauma and LGBTQIA+ issues. My work has allowed me to support clients across a wide range of developmental stages and life circumstances, tailoring treatment to meet diverse and complex needs. I utilize an eclectic variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution Focused (SF), Mindfulness Based treatments and Play Therapy, with an emphasis on cultural context and the individual characteristics of each person. I believe therapy should be flexible, responsive, and grounded in an understanding of each client’s lived experience.

I am especially passionate about supporting children and families, and I am deeply committed to helping young people and caregivers feel empowered, understood, and supported. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy fostering dogs and caring for my own family of three dogs alongside my husband. I find joy and grounding in creative and restorative outlets such as art, spending time in nature, cooking, and listening to music. These interests inform my belief in the importance of balance, connection, and self-expression in overall well-being.

I am committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate care and to supporting clients as they move toward greater clarity, resilience, and emotional well-being.
