Hello! My name is Naris Barmaksezian, and I am a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW #116727) supervised by Carlos Moreno, LCSW (LCSW115286). Since I was two years old, I have considered San Diego my home. I received my bachelors in psychology from the University of San Diego and my master's of social work (MSW) degree and Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential from San Diego State University. I am passionate about helping children, adults, couples, and families reach their highest potential.

In my free time, I love reading, walking, listening to podcasts, and trying out different restaurants and cafes in San Diego. I also enjoy watching classic movies and belting out my favorite oldies in the car.

Clinical Experience

I have years of experience working in San Diego schools as a mental health clinician and a school social worker. I also have experience working with young adults, particularly those who have neurodivergent traits, navigate life challenges and relational issues.

As a clinician, I have extensive experience working with school-aged children, adolescents, parents, and families in school and community-based settings, as well as young adults and adults for anxiety, autism, ADHD, depression, and trauma. I am experienced in providing motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and play therapy. I love working with individuals of all ages, as well as their families, to ensure that they receive the needed social-emotional support and resources to thrive and become the best versions of themselves.
