Hello! I’m Sarah Underwood, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT153975) supervised by Talia Morrison, LMFT (LMFT 82998). I am a California native and earned my master’s degree from Point Loma Nazarene University. As a therapist, I believe that meaningful change begins with a foundation of safety and trust. My heart is to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self—honestly and without fear. Together, we’ll set clear, achievable goals that start by meeting you right where you are at. I’ll meet you where you are, offer honest reflections, and support you in developing the tools you need to move forward with purpose and clarity. I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

Clinical Experience

I’ve always had a heart for working with children, and over time, I discovered a deep fulfillment in working with older adolescents and young adults as well. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, social skills development, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), emotional regulation, life transitions, and relationship changes. I utilize different modalities (based on the client) including but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, attending group fitness classes, baking and being in and near the ocean.
