My name is Thea Farraj, and I am an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, supervised by . My approach is centered around the belief that each individual is the expert of their world, and I am merely a traveler supporting you on your journey. I strive to meet each client at their unique point in life, and I provide clients with an accepting, supportive and collaborative space that welcomes growth.
Clinical Experience
I hold a robust background having worked with children, adolescents, young adults navigating life changes throughout college, families, and individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders. My training includes working on a multidisciplinary ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) team treating individuals with various presenting problems such as Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Bipolar Disorder. I enjoy supporting clients with navigating interpersonal conflicts, improving communication, setting appropriate boundaries by way of self advocacy, and fostering a space for process and doing the “deep dive” with building insight into the self.
My clinical lens is certainly eclectic, as I enjoy utilizing various approaches curated to the individual, couple or family sitting across from me. With that said, I often rely on my trauma informed training as well as family systems, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions. I look forward to joining you on your journey through growth and healing.
