Ximena Gil, AMFT
Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Supervised by Meredith Hanna, LMFT

My name is Ximena Gil (she/her/ella), and I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #159128), supervised by Meredith Hanna, LMFT (LMFT38770). I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California School of Professional Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University.

As a therapist my goal is to bring curiosity, collaboration, and respect for each client’s individual story into the therapeutic space. I value creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, identities, and relationships. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I am committed to honoring each client’s values and lived experiences while supporting them in moving toward meaningful growth and change.

Clinical Experience

My clinical experience includes working primarily with children and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and migratory backgrounds. I have supported children, adolescents, and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, trauma related to political and migration stressors, and family transitions. I integrate developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care, drawing from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I am bilingual in English and Spanish and have provided therapy in Spanish, which has been especially meaningful in fostering connection, trust, and accessibility for clients and families. I aim to meet each client where they are and work collaboratively to support healing, resilience, and growth.
