Shannon Baker, ACSW
Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker
Supervised by Carlos Moreno, LCSW
Hi there! I’m Shannon Baker, ACSW (ACSW125408), supervised by Carlos Moreno, LCSW (LCSW115286). I am passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, self-understanding, and resilience. I provide therapy for adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, substance use concerns, and emotional distress.
As an LGBTQ+ affirming clinician, I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their identities, relationships, and personal experiences authentically. I recognize that each person's story is unique, and I strive to tailor treatment to meet their individual needs and goals.
My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based practices while focusing on building a genuine therapeutic relationship. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, working through past trauma, struggling with substance use, or seeking support during a difficult life transition, I believe therapy can be a place to gain insight, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful change.
I view therapy as a partnership. Together, we can identify patterns that may be holding you back, build on your existing strengths, and work toward a life that feels more connected, balanced, and fulfilling.
Clinical Experience
My clinical experience includes working in community mental health, substance use treatment, crisis intervention, and family services. I have supported individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, grief, addiction, recovery, and co-occurring mental health conditions. I also have experience working with adolescents and families navigating behavioral, emotional, and relationship challenges.
